St James Service Club’s “Celebrating the Holidays” will be held on Wednesday, December 4th and Thursday December 5th 2019.
The holiday celebration begins with the “Holiday Reception” at the festively-decorated Members Club from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on both Wednesday and Thursday, December 4th and 5th. Enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, a seasonal beverage, and musical entertainment as you take a “Walk Through the Woods."
The “Holiday Home Tour” will include a tour of festively-decorated private homes. The theme for the home tour is “There’s A Child in All of Us.” With this theme in mind two special events to enhance the home tour are planned – a search for the Elf on the Shelf in each tour home and a display of Gingerbread Art in the Hagood model home. This year there will be a daylight tour on December 4th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and an evening tour on December 5th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. The daylight tour will feature a variety of musical entertainment at each home, while the evening tour will display festive Holiday lighting.
The “Holiday Festival” will be held at the St. James Community Center on Wednesday, December 4th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 5th. The festival features a Festival of Trees, numerous holiday displays, demonstrations, a seminar by Franco, and homemade cookies for a donation. A 50/50 raffle will be held on both days and a seasonal basket raffle will be held on Thursday. Visit the Sleigh Café to enjoy holiday treats while listening to musical entertainment provided during festival hours.
Tickets will be $35 pp for all three “Celebrating the Holidays in St. James” events.
A $10 pp ticket may be purchased for the “Holiday Festival” only and can be used for entry on either or both days. The Holiday Festival is open to the general public. Tickets will also be sold at a later date at The Christmas House and Wild by Nature in Southport, and at the door the days of the event if still available.
Ticket sales will be on October 9th beginning at 9 am at the Members Club prior to the Service Club Meeting and on October 12th beginning at 9:30 am at the Community Center prior to the POA meeting.
