Over 18,000 Brunswick County residents live in food insecure homes. Through May 23rd, the Service Club is collecting donations of food items and/or checks to help our Brunswick County neighbors fight hunger. Five drop off locations: 2809 Pine Forest Dr, 2848 Trailwood Dr, 3208 Beaver Creek Dr, 4503 Fieldstone Cir, 4150 Coventry Ct.

Giving Back to Brunswick County

Over 18,000 Brunswick County residents live in food insecure homes. Let’s help fight hunger!

 

How to Help

 

1.  Give monetary donations via check to Southport Oak Island Interchurch Fellowship Food Pantry (SOICF).

 

2.  Purchase wish list items:

  • Canned Beans, Poultry, Tuna  (Less than 500 mg sodium per serving)
  • Fruit Cups and Vegetable Juices (No sugar added)
  • Whole Grains, Flour and Oats
  • Dried Spices and Spice Mixes (no salt)
  • Pouches of Nuts, Seeds and Nut butter (less than 250 mg sodium per serving)

3.   Drop off checks* and food items at one of the St James volunteer residences:

  • 2848 Trailwood Drive
  • 2809 Pine Forest Drive 
  • 3208 Beaver Creek Drive
  • 4503 Fieldstone Circle
  • 4150 Coventry Court

* Checks may also be mailed to Elizabeth Miller, 2809 Pine Forest Drive, Southport, NC  28461

 

All donations go to  Southport Oak Island  Interchurch Fellowship Food Pantry (SOICF).  This wonderful 501(c)3 organization serves over 600 Brunswick County families monthly.  It is staffed entirely by volunteers.
